Information Typology in Specialized Translation

Abstract

The article deals with the issues related to information typology in specialized translation within Germanic and Oriental languages. The objective of the research is to analyse typological aspects of conveying different types of information in specialized translation from English, German and Chinese into Ukrainian. The following tasks were solved to achieve the stated purpose:1) to examine the key concepts constituting the content of information distributed in different typological varieties of specialized translation (scientific and technical proper, medical, legal and military translation; 2) to dwell upon the typological and contrastive aspects of translation classification; 3) to specify the potential challenges of specialized translation and ways to overcome them. The conducted research allowed the authors to arrive at certain conclusions.
