| Abstract: | The idea of Liberal Arts in American education is not about narrow professional training from day one, but about comprehensive development. I would describe its essence as follows: to give students a broad knowledge base and teach them not just to memorize facts, but to think critically, see connections between different fields and flexibly apply skills in a changing world. |
