The role of cultural background while teaching elementary Сhinese as the second foreign language

Abstract

Language is a tool for people to communicate with each other. It also carries the local culture within itself. And at the same time the culture is also reflecting the language and influences the language in a long term. A person, who wants to get deep knowledge of any language may not ignore culture and has to learn the history of culture including all other aspects of the studied language. So, the author highlights the importance of cultural background when teaching students elementary Chinese as a second foreign language, cross- cultural communication in particular. Мова є інструментом спілкування людей один з одним. Вона також несе місцеву культуру в собі. І водночас культура також відображає мову та впливає на мову в довгостроковій перспективі. Людина, яка хоче поглибити знання будь-якої мови не може ігнорувати культуру і має вивчати історію культури, включаючи всі інші аспекти досліджуваної мови.Так, автор підкреслює важливість культурного фону при навчанні студентів початкової китайської мови як другої іноземної, міжкультурного спілкування зокрема.
