Abstract

Стаття присвячена історії розвитку метрології та вимірювань у світі. Одиниці вимірювання досить тривалий час вибиралися довільно і з часом це призвело до їх досить великої різноманітності. Власні одиниці вимірювань існували не тільки в різних країнах світу, але й в середині країн. Основна суть вимірювання — це отримання достовірної кількісної експериментальної інформації про розмір фізичних величин. Щоденно у всьому світі проводять мільйони вимірювань. Розгляд питань, пов’язаних з історією мір, має для історика важливе значення. Метрологія, як і інші допоміжні історичні дисципліни, збагачує історію новими фактичними даними. The article is devoted to the history of metrology development and measurements in the world. The units of measurement have been chosen for a long time at random, and over time this has led to their wide variety. Own units of measurement existed not only in different countries of the world, but also in the middle of the countries. The main point of measurement is to obtain reliable quantitative experimental information on the size of physical quantities. Millions of measurements are made around the world every day. Consideration of issues related to the history of measures is important for the historian. Metrology, like other ancillary historical disciplines, enriches history with new evidence.
