Abstract: У статті висвітлено актуальні питання формування комунікативної компетентності майбутніх фахівців дошкільної освіти. Проаналізовано сучасні погляди науковців щодо означеної проблеми. Розкрито сутність понять компетентність, компетенція, професійна компетентність. Визначено роль спеціальних знань для формування ко- мунікативної компетентності у майбутніх вихователів дошкільних навчальних закладів.The article outlines current issues of forming communicative competence of future specialists of preschool educa- tion. Contemporary views of researchers referring to the defined problem have been reviewed. The essence of such no- tions as competency, competence and professional competency has been described. Competence is material, knowledge which an individual is familiar with and has certain experience in, and competency is the property of a personality that is based on competence. Professional competency is the system of knowledge and skills that a person uses in his/her work. It has been determined that communicative competency is considered in the context of professional pedagogical competency, where professional pedagogical knowledge, abilities and skills are meant. As a result of the study the following conclusions were made: the formation of communicative competency requires special knowledge, abilities and skills that can be obtained only in the process of specially organized training; this notion is a socio-pedagogical, psychological and linguistic phenomenon asit aims at forming communicative competency with the help of knowledge, skills and abilities of using a language in a certain sphere of communication. Within the research of communicative competency, the problem of forming communicative com- petency of future preschool teachers was separated, which involves abilities and skills of constructive verbal and nonverbal communication that are formed in the process of training. In particular, Ukrainian communicative competency of future pre- school teachers that is understood as a combination of psychological, linguistic, psycholinguistic, linguodidactic knowledge, abilities and skills determining professional speaking and communicative orientation of pedagogical activity in the Ukrainian language has been determined. Therefore, the problem of forming communicative competence of future preschool teachers is still unsolved and requires further research.
