Abstract

The relevance of the article is due to the sharp conflict of understanding of history in the conditions of the modern war between Ukraine and Russia: is history dominated by necessity, which stems from the past, or is free action possible in history, which is aimed at achieving the desired future state? The purpose of the article is to analyze the essential difference between the understanding of history as fate and as a project. Актуальність статті обумовлена гострим конфліктом розуміння історії в умовах сучасної війни України з Росією: чи в історії панує необхідність, яка випливає з минулого, чи в історії можлива свободна дія, яка націлена на досягнення бажаного майбутнього стану?
