А Study on English Translation of Category Words in the Government Work Report from Functional Equivalence Theory

Abstract

China’s Government Work Report covers the development status of politics, economy, people’s livelihood, diplomacy and culture, and is also an important source of information to understand China’s current situation and policies. Recently, many scholars have paid close attention to the study of its translation, and put forward a series of viewpoints and methodologies from various angles. However, whether the English version can accurately express the original meaning remains to be discussed, and related translation problems still exist. Звіт про роботу уряду Китаю охоплює стан розвитку політики, економіки, засобів існування людей, дипломатії та культури, а також є важливим джерелом інформації для розуміння поточної ситуації та політики Китаю. Останнім часом багато вчених приділили пильну увагу вивченню його перекладу та висунули ряд точок зору та методологій з різних точок зору. Проте питання про те, чи може англійська версія точно виражати оригінальне значення, ще належить обговорити, і пов’язані з цим проблеми перекладу все ще існують.
