Єврейський фактор в історії Одеси ХІХ ст.

Abstract

Проблема заснування та формування населення Одеси упродовж кінця ХVІІІ – початку ХХ ст. набула надзвичайної актуальності в умовах су- часної гібридної війни з Росією. На противагу міфу про Одесу як російське місто, важливо показати провідну роль неросійського населення, зокрема євреїв, у розбудові міста. На основі документальних матеріалів показано динаміку чисельності єврейського населення. Розглянуто економічну діяльність єврейської общини та її внесок у розвиток економіки та торгівлі Одеси. The problem of the establishment and formation of the population of Odesa during the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 20th centuries became extremely relevant in the conditions of the modern hybrid war with Russia. Contrary to the myth about Odessa as a Russian city, it is important to show the leading role of the non-Russian population, particularly Jews, in the development of the city. On the basis of documentary materials the dynamics number of the Jewish population, its merchants and craftsmen are shown. The economic activity of the Jewish community and its contribution to the development of the Odesa economy and trade are considered.
