Abstract

Relevance of the topic. The philosophy of love is a reflection on the nature and meaning of love as one of the most complex and mysterious emotions of the human soul. Love is an important part of our lives, and it can take many forms and manifest itself in a variety of relationships, from family to romantic. Love plays a huge and inevitable role in all cultures. In philosophy, the nature of love has been at the heart of philosophy since the time of the ancient Greeks, producing theories that range from a materialistic conception of love as a purely physical phenomenon - an animal or genetic drive that dictates our behavior - to theories of love as an intensely spiritual affair that allows us to the highest degree to touch the deity. Often statements or arguments concerning love, its nature and role in human life, for example, are linked to one or all of the central theories of philosophy and are often compared or considered in the context of the philosophy of gender as well as the body. The task of the philosophy of love is to present relevant questions in a convincing way, based on relevant theories of human nature, desire, ethics, etc. Thus, in ancient philosophical traditions, which were invented in ancient Greece and Rome, love was considered one of the most important and most honorable aspects of human life. Philosophers like Plato, Aristotle, and Epicurus looked at love from different perspectives, reflecting different aspects of this complex concept. The purpose of the work is to reveal and analyze the views of ancient philosophers on the value of vision, formation and development of the philosophy of love. The specified goal determined the need to solve the following range of tasks: 1. reveal the etymology of the concept of «love»; 2. analyze the views of ancient scientists on the philosophy of love; 3. to reveal the functions and role of the ancient philosophy of love; 4. characterize the features of the development of the ancient philosophy of love. Research methods and results. The results of the study of the ancient philosophy of love are the formation of an established concept of the etymology of love, through the views of ancient philosophers. Achieving the set goal and solving specific tasks was carried out on the basis of a comprehensive approach, which is based on descriptive, structural and comparative research methods. Observation, systematization and generalization of materials served as the basis for the application of the mentioned research methods. Актуальність проблеми. Філософія любові - це роздуми про природу та значення любові як одного з найбільш складних та загадкових емоцій людської душі. Любов є важливою частиною нашого життя, і вона може мати різні форми та виявлятися в різних відносинах, від родинних до романтичних. Любов відіграє величезну й неминучу роль у всіх культурах. У філософії природа любові з часів стародавніх греків була основою філософії, створюючи теорії, які варіюються від матеріалістичної концепції любові як суто фізичного явища – тваринного чи генетичного потягу, який диктує нашу поведінку – до теорій любові як інтенсивної духовної справи, яка в найвищому ступені дозволяє нам доторкнутися до божества. Часто твердження або аргументи, що стосуються любові, її природи та ролі в людському житті, наприклад, пов’язують з однією або всіма центральними теоріями філософії і часто порівнюються або розглядаються в контексті філософії статі а також тіла. Завдання філософії любові полягає в тому, щоб представити відповідні питання в переконливий спосіб, спираючись на відповідні теорії людської природи, бажання, етики тощо. Так, в античних філософських традиціях, які були винайдені у давній Греції та Римі, любов розглядалась як один з найважливіших аспектів людського життя. Філософи як Платон, Аристотель та Епікур розглядали любов з різних поглядів, відображаючи різні аспекти цього складного поняття. Мета роботи – виявити і проаналізувати погляди античних філософів на цінність бачення, становлення та розвитку філософії любові. Зазначена мета обумовила необхідність вирішення такого кола завдань: – розкрити етимологію поняття «любов»; – проаналізувати погляди античних вчених на філософію любові; – виявити функції та роль античної філософії любові; – схарактеризувати особливості розвитку античної філософії любові. Методи та результати дослідження. Результатами дослідження античної філософії любові є формування усталеного поняття етимології любові, через погляди античних філософів. Досягнення поставленої мети й розв’язання конкретних завдань здійснено на базі комплексного підходу, в основі якого – описовий, структурний і зіставний методи дослідження. Підґрунтям для застосування названих дослідницьких методів слугували спостереження, систематизація й узагальнення матеріалів.
