Прояви свободи в національній ментальності українського народу

Abstract

Actuality of theme. Philosophical understanding of the problem of manifestations of freedom in the mentality of the Ukrainian people involves a deep study of the Ukrainian national culture, national worldview, spirituality of the Ukrainian people, where the uniqueness of the combination of rational and irrational, cultural values, archetypes, attitudes, historical spiritual traditions, their uniqueness of experiences and common human experience are combined. The need for this is also determined by the growing interest in the phenomenon of national mentality as such and the national mentality of the Ukrainian people in particular, their inherent features and role in crisis, extreme social conditions. Therefore, various aspects of the analysis of the theory of the national mentality of the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian national mentality as a socio-cultural phenomenon are in the focus of attention of modern researchers. The purpose of the article is to analyze the essential characteristics and peculiarities of the manifestation of freedom in the national mentality of the Ukrainian people in the modern world. Research methods – general scientific methods of formal logic (deduction, induction, analogy, analysis, synthesis) and axiological method were used. Research results. The identification of the essential characteristics of national mentality and freedom as scientific concepts made it possible to present the definition of «national mentality» and «freedom» as philosophical categories. The examination of the Ukrainian national mentality made it possible to characterize the national mentality not only as a historically and socio-culturally determined way of thinking of the people, a deep source and level of collective consciousness, which includes the unconscious as well as the formation of national self-consciousness, which corresponds to the material experience and culture of Ukrainian society. It is noted that in the Ukrainian national mentality, freedom has acquired an archetypal status, because the principle of freedom runs through the entire Ukrainian culture and history. Therefore, the archetype of freedom in the Ukrainian mentality had ontological foundations in Cossack structures, in the experience of local self-government, in military practice, and still has ontological foundations in the practices of political, economic and socio-cultural life of modern Ukrainian society. It is noted that the Ukrainian national mentality is characterized by an irrational understanding of freedom associated with the Ukrainian spiritual tradition. Freedom is given either a negative meaning as freedom «from something» (from oppression, humiliation, reduction, etc.), or it is mystically understood as freedom «in the name of something», i.e. in the name of some high goal, i.e. the more common «negative» , than the «positive» meaning of freedom as freedom «for something». It was concluded that the awareness of the high value of freedom in the Ukrainian national mentality, the archetype of freedom as well as other ethnic archetypes and values, the philosophy of the heart, the wisdom of the world is a prerequisite for the approval of the historical achievements of the Ukrainian people in their universal significance, freedom and dignity. Актуальність теми. Філософське осмислення проблеми проявів свободи у ментальності українського народу передбачає глибоке дослідження української національної культури, національного світогляду, духовності українського народу, де поєднуються унікальність поєднання раціонального й ірраціонального, культурних цінностей, архетипів, установок, історичних духовних традицій, їх унікальність переживань і загальнолюдський досвід. Необхідність цього визначається також зростанням інтересу до феномену національної ментальності як такої і національної ментальності українського народу зокрема, притаманних їх рис та ролі в кризових, екстремальних суспільних умовах. Отже, у фокусі уваги сучасних дослідників перебувають різні аспекти аналізу теорії національної ментальності українського народу та українська національна ментальність як соціокультурний феномен. Метою статті є аналіз сутнісних характеристик та особливостей прояву свободи в національній ментальності українського народу в сучасному світі. Методи дослідження – використано загальнонаукові методи формальної логіки (дедукції, індукції, аналогії, аналізу, синтезу), а також аксіологічний метод. Результати дослідження. Виявлення суттєвих характеристик національної ментальності та свободи як наукових понять дозволило представити визначення «національна ментальність» та «свобода» як філософських категорій. Розгляд української національної ментальності дозволив характеризувати національну ментальність не тільки як історично і соціокультурно обумовлений спосіб мислення народу, глибинне джерело і рівень колективної свідомості, що включає і несвідоме, скільки формоутворення національної самосвідомості, яка відповідає буттєвому досвіду та культурі українського суспільства. Зазначено, що в українській національній ментальності свобода набула архетипічного статусу, тому що принцип свободи проходить крізь всю українську культуру та історію. Отже архетип свободи в українській ментальності мав онтологічні підстави в козацьких структурах, в досвіді місцевого самоврядування, в військовій практиці, та має досі онтологічні підстави в практиках політичного, економічного та соцікультурного життя сучасного українського суспільства. Відзначено, що для української національної ментальності притаманне ірраціональне розуміння свободи, повязане з українською духовною традицією. Свобода наділяється або негативним змістом як свобода «від чогось» (від гноблення, приниження, зниження, інше), або розуміється містично як свобода «в ім’я чогось», тобто в ім’я якоїсь високої мети, тобто більше поширений «негативний», ніж «позитивний» зміст свободи як свободи «для чогось». Зроблено висновок, що усвідомлення високої цінності свободи в українській національній ментальності, архетип свободи як і інші етнічні архетипи та цінності, філософія серця, софійність світу є передумовою затвердження історичних звершень українського народу в їх загальнолюдській значущості, свободі та гідності.
