Поле чи система: до визначення фрейму соціологічного аналізу політичних маніпуляцій

Abstract

Relevance of the topic. Political sphere is filled with manipulative technologies, which, in order to achieve their own goals of gaining or retaining power, are used by political actors (politicians and political parties) that want to influence public opinion and people’s electoral choice. This understanding is available publicly, and perceivable in a practical sense, yet in the academic context there are several traditions of defining what this category of “politics” actually is, whilst we speak about the space for manipulations. Thus, the question regarding the choice of the most convenient approaches for sociologists, political scientists and other researchers to use in studying the applications of political manipulative technologies, arises. The aim of the research is to determine the most appropriate basis for further analysis of political manipulative technologies within the category of political space (political system or the field of politics). Research methods. This article is based on general scientific methods of analysis (including system analysis), synthesis, analogies, abstraction, concretization, with subsequent availability to apply specific sociological empirical methods and modeling (such as H. Lasswell’s model of communication) for further development of the topic. Results of the research. In the course of the research, approaches to determination of the essence and contents of such categories as “political system” (D. Easton, T. Parsons, G. Almond, K. Deutsch) and “field of politics” (P. Bourdieu) were analyzed. The place of “politics” in the structure of other social spaces (societal, economic and cultural) was highlighted. The article identified key features and elements of the “political system” and the “field of politics”. The distinction on the basis of structural, functional and target characteristics of the categories listed above, was given. The authors’ differences in perception of those categories (with a tendency to actionism or communicativeness) were highlighted. The expediency of choosing the “field of politics” analytical frame as a category of space for studying political manipulative technologies was argued. Актуальність проблеми. Політична сфера повниться маніпулятивними технологіями, які, заради досягнення власних цілей щодо отримання чи утримання влади, використовуються суб’єктами політики – власне політиками та політичними партіями – задля впливу на громадську думку та електоральний вибір людей. Це розуміння є загальнодоступним і наявним у наочному, практичному сенсі, однак у академічному розрізі існує декілька традицій до визначення того, чим самим є ця «політика» як простір, де маніпуляції мають місце. Відповідно, постає питання про те, яким з підходів соціологам, політологам та іншим науковцям буде найзручніше користуватися при дослідженні застосування саме політичних маніпулятивних технологій. Мета дослідження полягає у визначенні найбільш доцільного підґрунтя у категорії політичного простору (політична система чи поле політики) задля подальшого аналізу політичних маніпулятивних технологій. Методи дослідження. Дана робота базується на загальнонаукових методах аналізу (в тому числі системного), синтезу, аналогії, абстрагування, конкретизації, з подальшим виходом на можливість застосування конкретно-соціологічних емпіричних методів та застосування моделей (як модель комунікації Г. Лассвела) задля подальшої розробки теми. Результати дослідження. В ході дослідження проаналізовано підходи до визначення сутності та змісту категорій «політична система» (Д. Істон, Т. Парсонс, Г. Алмонд, К. Дойч) та «поле політики» (П. Бурдьє). Виділено місце «політики» в структурі інших суспільних просторів – соціального, економічного, культурного. В статті визначено ключові особливості та елементи «політичної системи» та «поля політики». Подано розрізнення вищевказаних категорій на основі їхніх структурно-функціональних та цільових характеристик, виділено авторські відмінності бачення категорій з ухилом на акціонізм чи комунікативність. Аргументовано доцільність вибору аналітичного фрейму «поле політики» як категорії простору для дослідження політичних маніпулятивних технологій.
