Abstract

The United States is one of the world’s leading countries, a member of influential international organizations and the «Group of Seven», one of the leading actors in the international relations. At the end of 2020, one of the most important events took place in the country – the presidential election. The main competitors were D. Trump and J. Biden. The victory was won by J. Biden, who became the second Catholic president in US history. Despite the fact that in the United States the model of separation of state and church, the church plays an important role in the socio-political processes of the country. The most common in the United States is Protestantism. In the entire history of the United States, only two Catholic politicians have succeeded in becoming president J. Kennedy and J. Biden. The election activities of US President George W. Biden, domestic and foreign policy of the new head of the White House are examined in the article. The vector of the president ’s activity in various important socio-political, economic, religious and other issues are analyzed. The impact of the pandemic on American life, US policy and the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic are described. The policy of the new head of the White House on green energy, accession to the Paris Agreement, the middle class, raising wages, the country’s medical system and more are analyzed in the study. The statistical data of influential international analytical institutions on important social and political issues in the country are characterized and analyzed. The results of the 2020 elections in the USA of Donald Trump and Joe Biden are described. The religious factor during the presidential election was analyzed. The policy of the president of the USA concerning model of the state – church relations is described. Many domestic and foreign scientists have studied this issue. A significant contribution was made by specialists of influential analytical institutions, namely Gallup and Pew Research Center. A significant number of researchers have worked on the issues of J. Biden’s policy and its impact on the international relations. США є однією з провідних країн світу, учасницею впливових міжнародних організацій та «Великої сімки», одним із провідних суб’єктів на арені міжнародних відносин. Наприкінці 2020 р. в країні відбулася одна з найбільш важливих подій – вибори президента. Основними конкурентами були Д. Трамп та Дж. Байден. Перемогу здобув Дж. Байден, який став другим за всю історію США президентом-католиком. Незважаючи на те, що в США діє модель відокремлення держави і церкви, церква має вагоме місце в суспільно-політичних процесах країни. Найпоширенішим у США є протестантизм. За всю історію США лиш двом політикам-католикам вдалося посісти місце президента країни: це Дж. Кеннеді та Дж. Байден. У статті досліджено передвиборчу діяльність, внутрішню та зовнішню політику Дж. Байдена. Проаналізовано вектор діяльності президента в різних важливих суспільно-політичних, економічних, релігійних та інших питаннях. Охарактеризовано вплив пандемії Covid-19 на життя американців, політику США та боротьбу з пандемією. У дослідженні проаналізовано політику нового очільника Білого дому щодо зеленої енергетики, приєднання до Паризької угоди, середнього класу, підвищення заробітної плати, медичної системи країни та інше. Охарактеризовано та проаналізовано статистичні дані впливових міжнародних аналітичних інституцій щодо важливих суспільно-політичних питань у країні. Описано результати виборів 2020 р. в США Д. Трампа та Дж. Байдена. Проаналізовано релігійний фактор під час президентських виборів. Описана політика президента США щодо моделі державноцерковних відносин. Багато вітчизняних та зарубіжних вчених досліджували це питання. Вагомий внесок зробили спеціалісти впливових аналітичних інституцій, а саме: «Gallup» та «Pew Research Centre». Чимало дослідників працювали над питанням політики Дж. Байдена та її впливу на арені міжнародних відносин.
