Український національний ідеал преси Союзу українок (1922–1939): спротив польській владі

Abstract

Актуальність теми зумовлена сучасними політологічними, гендерними та націологічними дослідженнями жіночих рухів у європейських країнах, зокрема українського жіночого руху, який у І половині ХХ століття став частиною визвольного руху української нації у боротьбі за власну державу. Характер українського жіночого руху, активна участь і залучення жінок до громадських і політичних подій у Галичині перетворив його у активну частину визвольного руху на західноукраїнських землях. У багатьох наукових дослідженнях жіночий рух в Галичині не виокремлюють від загально-визвольного, проте розмах, форми та методи боротьби активних жінок вказує на те, що це унікальне явище, відмінне від гендерних рухів тогочасної Європи, що мало власну політичну періодику. Проаналізовано головну тематику преси Союзу українок (жанри, свідомісні концепти, парадигми та стереотипи, які існували у тогочасному галицькому суспільстві). Виокремлено кілька форм та видів боротьби і спротиву українського жіночого руху в Галичині польській владі та польському шовінізму. Подано світоглядні образи нового «типу жінки», яка сформувалася у публіцистиці політичної жіночої преси Союзу українок. Простежено емоційний тон у викривальних публікаціях польської шовіністичної політики щодо українського питання. Здійснено аналіз кількох програмних публікацій. Відстежено ціннісну парадигму концепції національного виховання молодої людини, служіння національному ідеалу української молоді у боротьбі за власну державу. Методи дослідження. У дослідженні використано комплекс загальних і спеціальних методів: метод концептуального аналізу у визначенні жіночого руху як частини загальновизвольного руху Галичини І половини ХХ століття; тематичний аналіз у визначенні головної тематики видань Союзу українок; синтез у вивченні методів і форм боротьби активного жіноцтва за свої права та за права рідної нації. Результати і висновки. Українська національна ідея – головна ідея і свідомісний концепт преси Союзу українок, яка виражалася у спротиві активного жіноцтва польській шовіністичній політиці на західноукраїнських землях. Національним та політичним ідеалом жіночої періодики стала вільна і незалежна українська нація у власній державі. The urgency of the topic is due to modern political, gender and national studies of womenʼs movements in European countries, including the Ukrainian women’s movement, which in the first half of the twentieth century became part of the liberation movement of the Ukrainian nation in the struggle for their own state. The nature of the Ukrainian women’s movement, the active participation and involvement of women in social and political events in Galicia turned it into an active part of the liberation movement in Western Ukraine. Many scientific studies do not distinguish the womenʼs movement in Galicia from the general liberation movement, but the scale, forms and methods of struggle of active women indicate that this is a unique phenomenon, different from the gender movements of contemporary Europe, which had its own political periodicals. The aim of the study. The main topics of the press of the Union of Ukrainian Women (genres, conscious concepts, paradigms and stereotypes that existed in the Galician society of that time) are analyzed. Several forms and types of struggle and resistance of the Ukrainian women’s movement in Galicia to the Polish government and Polish chauvinism have been identified. The ideological images of a new «type of woman», which was formed in the journalism of the political women’s press of the Union of Ukrainian Women, are presented. There is an emotional tone in the exposing publications of the Polish chauvinist policy on the Ukrainian issue. The analysis of several program publications is carried out. The value paradigm of the concept of national education of a young person, service to the national ideal of Ukrainian youth in the struggle for their own state is traced. Research methods. The study uses a set of general and special methods: the method of conceptual analysis in defining the women’s movement as part of the general liberation movement in Galicia in the first half of the twentieth century; thematic analysis in determining the main topics of publications of the Union of Ukrainian Women; synthesis in the study of methods and forms of struggle of active women for their rights and for the rights of the native nation. Results and conclusions. The Ukrainian national idea is the main idea and conscious concept of the press of the Union of Ukrainian Women, which was expressed in the opposition of active women to Polish chauvinist policy in the western Ukrainian lands. The free and independent Ukrainian nation in its own state became the national and political ideal of womenʼs periodicals.
