Предмет соціології політики: актуальне наповнення

Abstract

Sociology of politics is a relatively young discipline. It is closely connected to such humanitarian branches of science as general sociology, political science, philosophy, history, cultural studies etc. These disciplines contribute to the main categories of the sociology of politics, broaden them, and provide deep and detailed sociological analysis of all aspects of politics. By that, they reveal the process of establishment, formation and development of political theories and concepts; show how political power has appeared and functioned and how political processes with their peculiarities and regularities have progressed etc. There is no doubt that modern sociology of politics could not appear out of nothing. This article is an attempt to give definition of the subject of this discipline and disclose the process of its institutionalization. The article analyzes the process of development of political sociology that consisted of several periods. Each of those periods had its own dominant approaches that influenced the choice of the main subject of the study. One can state that the transition from methodological monism to moderate pluralism is the general tendency of the development of political sociology and the sociology itself. At present, political sociology can be considered as quite differentiated branch of knowledge that includes various paradigms of analysis and perception of political reality. This gives the ground to say that this discipline goes through the multi-paradigm stage of development. The existence of a certain set of scientific paradigms reflects the objective process of elevation of complexity of political processes and phenomena. To explain this complexity from the scientific point of view and proceeding from only one particular theory is rather difficult. Therefore, the knowledge of various theories and methods of political research is a prerequisite for the professional development of a modern sociologist. It is also a peculiar test for those who seek to belong to the professional community. Соціологія політики – відносно молода дисципліна. Вона знаходиться в тісному взаємозв’язку з такими дисциплінами гуманітарного циклу, як загальна соціологія, політологія, філософія, історія, культурологія та ін. Дані дисципліни доповнюють і розширюють основні категорії соціології політики, забезпечують глибокий і детальний соціологічний аналіз всіх аспектів політики, тим самим розкривають процес виникнення, формування і розвитку політичних теорій і концепцій; становлення і функціонування політичної влади; особливості та закономірності перебігу політичних процесів та ін. Сучасна соціологія політики, звісно, утворена не «на порожньому місці». У статті робиться спроба надати визначення предмету соціології політики і розкриття процесу її інституалізації. У статті проводиться аналіз розвитку політичної соціології, який пройшов кілька періодів, у кожному з яких домінували ті чи інші підходи до вибору основного предмета дослідження. Можна також констатувати, що загальною тенденцією розвитку політичної соціології, як і самої соціології, є перехід від методологічного монізму до помірного плюралізму. На сучасному етапі політична соціологія являє собою досить диференційовану галузь знань, що включає в себе різні парадигми аналізу і сприйняття політичної дійсності, що дозволяє говорити про мультипарадигмальність періоду її розвитку. Існування певної множини наукових парадигм відображає об’єктивний процес підвищення рівня складності політичних процесів і явищ, наукове пояснення яких сьогодні дуже складно надати виходячи з якої-небудь однієї теорії. Тому знання різних теорій і методів дослідження політики є необхідною умовою отримання професійної освіти сучасного соціолога та своєрідним тестом на приналежність до професійного співтовариства.
