Abstract: Nowadays the study of foreign models of the organization of state power is very relevant. The aim of the article is to find out the political and institutional features of the organization of state power in the Slovak Republic, in particular the specifics of the formation and interaction among parliament, the government and the president. The author uses neo-institutional, structural-functional and systematic approaches to find out the political and institutional features of the organization and interaction of the highest authorities of Slovakia. The Slovak model of the organization of state power contains a combination of institutional elements that complicate its clear identification. The modern Slovak constitutional theory is based on the concept of a parliamentary form of government. The peculiarities of formation and political interaction among parliament, the government and the president are analyzed. The political and institutional peculiarities of the organization of state power in Slovakia are defined: parliamentary legitimacy of the government, the coalitional format of government, party-political link between the government and the parliamentary majority, the situational duality of the executive branch, limited powers of the nation elected president, the presence of the institute of countersignature, the mechanism of recalling the president through popular vote. It is concluded that the party-political factor plays a key role in the organization and functioning of legislative and executive powers in the Slovak Republic. Political parties influence on the state system, optimize the interaction between parliament and the government, and at the same time, modify the constitutional distribution of power in the Slovak Republic.
