An article on “The Discrimination Policy of the USSR against the Azerbaijani people” describes the biased attitude of the USSR to the Azerbaijani people in the state policy: re- moval of Azerbaijani people from their ethnogenesis compared to other nations, changing the alphabet. This deals with the support for falsification of the history by Armenians, the recognition of the so-called “armenian genocide” and so on, the insidious policy of the USSR leadership against the Azerbaijani people. In the Decree “On deportation of Azerbaijanis from their historical and ethnic lands in the territory of the Armenian SSR in 1948–1953” of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of Azerbaijan dated December 18, 1997, the fact of the genocide, mass repression and deportation of the Azerbaijanis from their historical and ethnic lands in 1948–1953 as a result of the joint efforts of the USSR leadership and the Armenian national- ists was reflected in its political context.uk
