Профспілки в Україні як політичний інститут: криза чи трансформація

Abstract

The topicality of the study is determined by complicated tasks of creation of democratic social and labor relations system, formation of mechanisms for public interests harmonization that can prevent large-scale internal turmoils and guarantee social peace. The study is aimed at defining peculiarities of development of trade union movement in Ukraine and its perspectives. The classification, retrospective as well as comparative and analytical methods have been used in the study. The research has been conducted on the example of the two largest trade union organiza- tions of the country. General conditions of trade unions in the West and in the post-Soviet space have been examined, too. The outcome of the study is in the identifying the reasons that have caused a low trust in this institution, such as excessive politicization, corruption and the shadow economy.
