Соціальна толерантність в контексті комунікативної компетентності особистості

Abstract

Зростаючий інтерес до проблеми толерантності викликаний її науковою та практичною актуальністю в умовах складної політичної ситуації та зростаючих соціальних конфліктів. В статті розглянуто відмінності комунікативної компетентності, емоційного інтелекту, копінг-стратегій, когнітивно-діяльнісного стилю, особистісної зрілості та життєвих цінностей у осіб з різними рівнями соціальної толерантності. Cоціально

толерантна особа має низький рівень самоконтролю та відповідальності, не схильна до конкуренції та твор- чості, погано орієнтується в емоційних реакціях, як власних, так і оточуючих людей, отже, так само має ни- зький рівень комунікативної компетентності. Низький рівень соціальних домагань, емоційна гнучкість, конфо- рмність та просоціальна орієнтація можуть це компенсувати та дозволити досягати цілей. Соціально толе- рантна особа також є нечутливою, невразливою в соціальному контексті, має розмиті та рухливі межі та

має слабко виражені соціальні потреби, отже, може адаптуватися до різних соціальних умов без відчутних

втрат. В цьому випадку людина може обрати лінію соціальної толерантності не задля розвитку, а для мінімі- зації контакту з соціальним середовищем, не для досягнення успіху, а для уникнення невдачі, не через певні сві- тоглядні принципи та життєві цінності, а для задоволення потреби в безпеці.The increasing interest to the problem of tolerance is caused by it’s scientific relevance and practical vitality in conditions of difficult political situation and arising social conflicts. The differences of communicative competence, emotional intelligence, coping-strategies, cognitive and activity style, personal maturity and life values of people with different levels of social tolerance are investigated in this article. Socially tolerant person has low level of self-control

and responsibility, he isn’t disposed to concurrence and creativity, badly orients in his own and others’ emotional reac- tions, and has also low level of communicative competence. Low level of social demands, emotional flexibility, con- formity and prosocial orientation can compensate it compensation and allow to achieve the goals. Socially tolerant per- son is also not sensible, not vulnerable in social context, has diffused mobile borders and feebly marked social needs,

so, can adapt to different social conditions without perceivable losses. This understanding gets the social tolerance clos- er to physiological tolerance as absent or weak reaction to some unfavorable factor because of decrease of sensibility to

its influence, increase of steadiness to unfavorable factor. It explains socially tolerant persons’ lower attention to them- selves, lower importance of health as a life value because of generally low sensibility. Social environment doesn’t help

one’s needs satisfaction, and it is possibly dangerous and threatening. In this case person can choose the line of social tolerance not for the development, but for minimization of contact with social environment, not for a success achieving, but for a failure avoiding, not for some outlook principles and life values, but for satisfaction of one’s safety need.
