dc.description.abstractУ статті розкрито сутність організаційної та корпоративної культур, їхня роль у розвитку сучасного вищого навчального закладу; на основі порівняльного аналізу розглядаються особливості цих культур у середо-вищі викладачів педагогічного університету; наведено результати експериментального дослідження. и.The article is concerned with the essence of organizational and corporate cultures, their role in the development of modern higher educational institutions; the peculiarities of these cultures amidst university lecturers are considered on the basis of comparative analysis. The research carried out at pedagogical universities of different regions of Ukraine has shown that the universities do not have a dominating type of corporate culture. Their corporate culture type is con-sidered to be bureaucratic, in which a personality is neutralized and its contribution to university activity is estimated formally, according to directions and standards. It is desired to change this type of culture to the family one, where per-sonal and more expressive evaluation and relations are predominant with less strict obedience to formal directions and orders. Despite regional differences, differences in cultural and academic traditions, pedagogical university lecturers were extremely cautious and conservative in their estimations. The most difficult was the necessity to realize and de-termine one’s values in terms of desired future; it can be interpreted as disinterest in university activity and develop-ment, active participation in this process. On the one hand, it shows that culture of administrating modern pedagogical universities is not oriented at effective use of lecturers’ personal potential, keeping to planned management without re-gard to internal relations of the staff, their corporate culture. On the other hand, it shows Soviet mentality, when the staff had no real impact on activity and development of their organization. This, it is proved that organizational and cor-porate culture are independent phenomena which determine the specific character of university internal culture; their common elements are artifacts, organization mission and working conditions. They are one of the main components ne-cessary for achieving organization goals, improving its efficiency, innovation management. It is culture which provides people’s acquisition of new ideas, their readiness and ability to support and implement innovations in all spheres of life.uk
