Abstract

. The article shows V.Suhomlynsky's contribution to development of the problem of training skills of realized and expressive reading of children of primary school. The author draws a parallel between V.Suhomlynsky's pedagogical ideas of teaching reading and a modern educational system. The article discloses the problems of teaching reading at three steps of education (the pre-preschool period, elementary school and the system of high school preparation of future teachers of preschool establishments). It contains theses from V. Suhomlynsky's pedagogical works.
