Democratic Transformation And European Governance Standards In Conditions Of Contemporary Security Challenges

Abstract

Contemporary democratic transformations within the European political space are increasingly shaped by multidimensional security, institutional and governance-related challenges. Under conditions of geopolitical instability, hybrid threats and large-scale crises, the issue of implementing European democratic standards acquires particular significance for states undergoing processes of political modernization and institutional adaptation. In this context, the European model of governance functions not only as a normative framework, but also as a strategic mechanism for strengthening democratic resilience, institutional legitimacy and the rule of law.
