The article discusses the role of the media during global crises. The example of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 shows how the media became the main source of information, shaping the perception of the tragedy by millions of viewers. It also analyzes the tragedy of the genocide in Rwanda, where the media, on the contrary, incited violence, and the international press ignored the scale of the tragedy.uk
