An Exploration of Word Meaning Selection in the Translation Process

Abstract

Through a lot of translation practice and appreciation and research of translated texts, this paper found that translation is not simply copying the meaning of each word from the dictionary and then forming a sentence. In the process of translation, the choice of the meaning of each word has a certain basis, and the proper choice of the meaning will make the text more readable; On the contrary, it will affect readers' understanding of the text. Therefore, we should make an appropriate analysis of vocabulary according to different situations. This paper mainly analyzes some cases in which words are chosen according to different text types, text contents and cultural backgrounds. In order to provide some suggestions for the problem of word meaning selection encountered in translation. Завдяки численній практиці перекладу та оцінці та дослідженню перекладених текстів ця стаття виявила, що переклад – це не просто копіювання значення кожного слова зі словника, а потім формування речення в процесі перекладу, вибір значення кожного слово має певну основу, і правильний вибір значення зробить текст більш читабельним; навпаки, це вплине на розуміння тексту читачами, тому ми повинні зробити відповідний аналіз лексики стаття, в основному деякі випадки, в яких слова вибираються відповідно до різних типів тексту, текстового змісту та культурного середовища, щоб надати деякі пропозиції щодо проблеми вибору значення слова, що виникає під час перекладу.
