Соціал-демократія і самостійна українська держава в політичній концепції Юліана Бачинського

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the peculiarities of the socio-political views of the outstanding figure of the Ukrainian social democracy Yulian Bachynskyi, whose ideas had a powerful impact on the political discourse not only in Galicia at the time, but also in Ukraine as a whole. In order to reveal the problem, this research considers the question of the thinker’s interpretation of the problems of the role of the capitalist state in the organization of society, the use of the Marxist methodology for the analysis of social phenomena in relation to the Galician reality of that time. The state is considered by the scientist as an apparatus of class violence and a tool that ensures the domination of the bourgeoisie over the working classes. Bachynskyi believes that the uneven development of capitalism in multinational states, such as Austria-Hungary, leads to competition between different groups of the bourgeoisie and takes the form of an international struggle. The competition of the “Slavic” bourgeoisie with more economically powerful German capital, which uses the power of the state apparatus of the empire, forces it to raise slogans for the federalization of Austria-Hungary. In Galicia, the Ukrainian bourgeoisie competes with the Polish bourgeoisie, which also uses the advantages of controlling the authorities of this crown land. According to the scientist, the logic of capital development forces the Ukrainian bourgeoisie to accept the slogan of an independent Ukrainian state, where the division of Galicia and the unification of all Ukrainian lands of the empire into one crown region is only the first step. In this matter, the interests of the Ukrainian bourgeoisie coincide with the interests of the entire Ukrainian society and should be supported by Ukrainian social democrats. According to Y. Bachynskyi, the national state is not a goal, but only an effective tool in the struggle for the emancipation of the working people and a necessary stage in the development of the nation. The main problem of Ukrainians on the eve of revolutionary upheavals, the scientist believes, is the incompleteness of the processes of formation of the national bourgeoisie and the lack of national consciousness of the Ukrainian elite, which determined the results of the Ukrainian national liberation revolution. Стаття присвячена аналізу особливостей соціально-політичних поглядів видатного діяча української соціал-демократії Юліана Бачинського, чиї ідеї справили потужний вплив на політичний дискурс не лише в тогочасній Галичині, а і в Україні в цілому. Для розкриття поставленої проблеми в даній розвідці розглядаються питання трактування мислителем проблем ролі капіталістичної держави в організації життя суспільства, використання марксистської методології аналізу соціальних явищ щодо тогочасної галицької дійсності. Держава розглядається вченим як апарат класового насильства та інструмент, що забезпечує панування буржуазії над працюючими класами. Бачинський вважає, що нерівномірність розвитку капіталізму в багатонаціональних державах, якою була Австро-Угорщина, призводить до конкуренції між різними групами буржуазії і набирає форми міжнаціональної боротьби. Конкуренція «слов’янської» буржуазії з більш економічно потужним німецьким капіталом, що використовує силу державного апарату імперії, змушує її виступати з гаслами федералізації Австро-Угорщини. В Галичині українська буржуазія конкурує з польською, яка також використовує переваги контролю за органами влади цього коронного краю. На думку вченого, логіка розвитку капіталу змушує українську буржуазію прийняти гасло самостійної української держави, де розділення Галичини та об’єднання всіх українських земель імперії в один коронний край є лише першим кроком. В цьому питанні інтереси української буржуазії співпадають з інтересами всього українського суспільства і мають бути підтримані українськими соціал-демократами. На переконання Ю. Бачинського, національна держава не є метою, а лише дієвим інструментом у боротьбі за емансипацію трудящих і необхідним етапом у розвитку нації. Головною проблемою українців напередодні революційних потрясінь, вважає вчений, є незавершеність процесів формування національної буржуазії та недостача національної свідомості української еліти, що зумовили результати української національно-визвольної революції.
