Abstract

Простежуються основні передумови та етапи формування мережі технічних музеїв, пов‟язані промисловим та індустріальним розвитком Німеччини та Австро-Угорщини. З початку XIX століття технічні музеї, часто об‟єднані раніше з природно-науковими зібраннями, стають самостійними інститутами і до початку XX століття відіграють помітну роль в житті суспільства. Поданий короткий аналіз виникнення Німецького музею видатних досягнень природознавства та техніки, його впливу на розвиток технічних музеїв усього світу. Він поклав початок процесу пояснення технології та спонукав всі музеї приділяти більше уваги залученню відвідувачів до активної роботи з діючими експонатами музею.
