Професійна підготовка майстрів у вищих навчальних закладах, її ефективність значною мірою визначається рівнем педагогічного оформлення змісту підготовки майбутніх викладачів загальнотехнічних дисциплін та методів викладання технологій, оскільки саме зміст покликаний забезпечити формування особистості, яка має не лише систему спеціальні знання та професійні дії, але також відрізняються у формуванні професії всіма важливими компетенціями, відповідним рівнем кваліфікації з урахуванням світових та європейських стандартів якості при збереженні національних досягнень та пріоритетів, а також здатних до плідної педагогічної діяльності в сучасних умовах.
