Метафора в світлі теорії пізнання

Abstract

У статті розкривається пізнавальна природа метафори. Аналіз дефініцій тропології виявляє головну особливість метафори - здатність до побудови картини світу. За основу аналізу форм і способів застосування метафори взята теорія метафори Дж. Лакоффа і М. Джонсона. У статті показано, що метафора використовується для визначення життєвих орієнтирів людини. Виявлено, що роль метафори в пізнанні полягає в структуруванні сфери невідомого, за допомогою чого і стає можливим виникнення нового знання. The article deals with the cognitive nature of metaphors .
