Technology of using mind maps in the educational process of higher school

Abstract

Результати теоретико-прикладного дослідження показали, що технологія «Мindmap» є однією із найпрогресивніших на сучасному етапі едукації студентів, оскільки її застосування сприяє підвищенню мотивації до навчання, приверненню уваги аудиторії студентів, залучаючи їх до співпраці. Створення «Мindmapping»-карт роблять заняття і презентації органічнішими: не тільки зберігають факти, але й демонструють взаємозв’язки між ними, тим самим забезпечуючи глибше розуміння предмета; мають достатнє теоретичне підґрунтя, чіткі прагматичні стимули і реальне практичне значення у формуванні власних навчальних стратегій. Ментальні карти можна використовувати при вивченні будь-якого предмету у вищому навчальному закладі. «Мindmapping»-карти унаочнюють матеріал, що пропонується викладачами для вивчення. Технологія «Мindmap» сприяє всебічному інтелектуальному розвитку особистості як викладача, так і студента, забезпечує системність та цілісність знань. Ментальні карти стимулюють розумові процеси студентів, сприяють формуванню фахових компетентностей та розкриттю власної індивідуальності. Як стверджують Тоні та Баррі Бьюзен, «Мindmapping»-карти «підвищать вашу компетентність, внесуть у ваше життя більше радості, впорядкованості та задоволення». The article is devoted to the problem of the mental maps use as the innovative way of the information organization within the higher education process. The analysis of scientific approaches to the theory of radial thinking and the experience of mental maps use in planning, evaluation and educational process has been presented. The effectiveness of mindmapping in the process of students’ listening and note-taking lectures has been proved; the analysis and the lecture information supplementation within the framework of independent individual and collective work involving the cloud services use has been substantiated. An alternative to the manual and programmatic mindmapping use including the Freemind program has been determined. The conclusion related to the fact that the use of mental maps is able to shorten the students’ time for note-taking as well as to improve the information memorization and to provide this information with the personal significance and individual systemicity has been drawn.
