Abstract: The article describes the peculiarities of mental processes which influence on the formation of students’ speech. The problem of cooperation between evaluative picture of the speaker`s world and his language and extra-language knowledge is also shown. The article gives a review of the evaluation as linguistic category with cognitive nature and is formed as the result of an interaction of mentation – language – speech. Investigation of cognitive processes gives the opportunity to understand mental processes of perception, processing, storage and decoding of the knowledge which influence on the interlocutors` communicative behavior. Analysis of cognitive and pragmatic aspects which form the speech is done not only on the basis of language peculiarities but from the point of view of the solid reaction of the speaker and listener. Analysis of cognitive and pragmatic aspects attests that it is linguistic category with cognitive and pragmatic potential.
