Abstract: Стаття присвячена ролі професійної спрямованості у формуванні відповідальності майбутніх молодших медичних спеціалістів. В The important task of educational process in a higher educational institution is the formation of professional orien- tation and professional responsibility of a future junior medical specialist. According to the scientists’ identification, professional orientation is a personality trait, which is characterized by stable interest to profession combined with so- cial and cognitive activity, which is revealed in striving and readiness to fulfill one’s professional duties and functions. It has a strong influence on future specialist’s personality formation and speeds up the formation of students’ responsi- bility and activeness in all kinds of their activity. Professional orientation at medical activity is considered as an attitude to medical profession and its content, i.g. qualitative attitude to profession and junior medical specialists’ activity; un- derstanding of professional importance and medical specialists’ mission; understanding of aims and goals of junior medical specialists’ professional activity. Aiming at determination of the professional orientation level of future junior medical specialists, which is revealed in striving to master their profession and wish to work in the chosen profession, we used the modified variant of the “Test application form for the determination of students’ professional orientation level” by T. Dubovitskaya. Investigation of the levels of professional responsibility of future junior medical specialists’ was performed with the help of the modified application form by B. Pryadein. Comparative analysis of the results of professional orientation and responsibility of future junior medical specialists enables to resume that in most cases a low level of professional responsibility corresponds to a low level of professional orientation, a medium level of profession- al responsibility corresponds to a medium level of professional orientation and a high level of professional responsibili- ty corresponds to a high level of professional orientation accordingly. Thus, professional orientation is closely con- nected with future junior medical specialists’ responsibility, which enables to treat it as one of their professional respon- sibility development mechanisms.
