Abstract: The article deals with the issues related to typological aspects of translating academic documents within Germanic and Oriental languages. The aim of the research is to analyse typological aspects of translating English, German and Chinese academic documents into Ukrainian. Achieving the stated aim involved solving these tasks:1) to examine the key concepts constituting the content of academic documents within the context of the linguistic and translation paradigm; 2) to characterise the modern structural and compositional framework of academic documents; 3) to specify the distinctive parameters of translation at both linguistic and extralinguistic levels. The conducted research allowed the authors to come to certain conclusions.
