Ukrainian–Romanian Cross-Border Cooperation As An Instrument Of European Integration

Abstract

In the current conditions of European geopolitical transformation, cross-border cooperation is becoming one of the key instruments for shaping a common political and institutional space between the European Union and neighbouring states that are in the process of approximation to EU standards. Ukraine acts as a strategic partner of the EU, actively using mechanisms of regional interaction for institutional convergence and modernization of public governance. In this context, the Ukrainian–Romanian direction is of particular importance, functioning as one of the most stable and structured channels of integration interaction in the Black Sea–Danube region.
