Григорій Сковорода як історико-філософський феномен української культури XVIII століття

Abstract

Актуальність дослідження зумовлена зростаючою потребою ґрунтовного осмислення історико-філософської спадщини української культури XVIII століття в контексті сучасних гуманітарних, філософських і культурологічних студій. В умовах глобалізаційних процесів, трансформації суспільних цінностей і пошуку нових духовних орієнтирів особливої ваги набуває звернення до національної інтелектуальної традиції як джерела формування світоглядних основ сучасного українського суспільства. Досвід минулого дозволяє не лише реконструювати етапи розвитку філософської думки, а й виявити її потенціал для відповіді на актуальні виклики сучасності. У цьому контексті особливе місце посідає постать Григорія Сковороди – видатного мислителя, філософа, поета й педагога, чия духовна спадщина є унікальним явищем української культури епохи Просвітництва. Його філософія сформувалася на перетині античної, християнської та європейської просвітницької традицій і водночас глибоко вкорінена в національний культурний ґрунт. Ідеї Сковороди, спрямовані на самопізнання, внутрішню свободу, моральне самовдосконалення та гармонію людини зі світом, зберігають свою актуальність і в сучасному соціокультурному просторі. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing need to comprehend the historical and philosophical heritage of Ukrainian culture of the eighteenth century within contemporary humanities and cultural studies. In this context, the figure of Hryhorii Skovoroda occupies a special place as a thinker whose philosophy integrates European intellectual traditions with national spiritual values and remains highly relevant to modern challenges of personal and social spiritual development. The purpose of the article is to reconstruct and analyze the interrelation between Hryhorii Skovoroda’s life path, philosophical ideas, and creative work in order to interpret his personality as a historical and philosophical phenomenon of Ukrainian culture of the eighteenth century. The methodological framework of the research is based on historical-philosophical, cultural, systemic, and hermeneutic approaches, as well as methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison, and interpretation of philosophical and literary texts. The biographical method made it possible to reveal the unity of Skovoroda’s philosophical concepts with his way of life and spiritual practice. The results of the study demonstrate that Skovoroda’s philosophical system is grounded in the doctrines of the “three worlds” and the “two natures,” the concept of self-knowledge, the idea of “congenial labor,” and the philosophy of the “wise heart.” These ideas form a humanistic model of personality oriented toward inner freedom, moral self-improvement, and the pursuit of happiness. It is substantiated that Skovoroda was not only a representative of the Enlightenment era but also a unique phenomenon of Ukrainian culture who combined philosophy, poetry, pedagogy, and music into a holistic spiritual practice. His intellectual legacy has significant potential for application in modern educational, cultural, and worldvieworiented practices, contributing to the formation of a harmonious and value-based understanding of human existence.
