Storytelling as an effective method of training future teachers

Abstract

The modernisation of higher education leads to the search for new ways to effectively train future teachers. Numerous educational problems have been identified, many of which are in the field of didactics, the solution of which has contributed to the growth of teaching methods and technologies. Today, along with traditional forms and methods of work, innovative and digital tools are being effectively used. One of the most interesting methods of presenting and processing information is the storytelling method, which allows you to demonstrate educational material in the form of an interesting story. In general, the concept of "storytelling" in education (from the analogue translation of "story" - story, and "telling" - to tell) is considered as a skilful and technical transfer of the necessary educational information by the teacher to the audience in the form of an exciting story in order to solve complex problems, concentrate attention, activate critical thinking and emotional intelligence of students, motivate them for further research. Storytelling is a verbal teaching method, but it can be supplemented with selected visual materials. Визначено численні освітні проблеми, багато з яких знаходяться в галузі дидактики, вирішення яких сприяло зростанню методів і технологій навчання. Сьогодні, поряд з традиційними формами та методами роботи, ефективно використовуються інноваційні та цифрові інструменти. Одним з найцікавіших методів подання та обробки інформації є метод сторітеллінгу, який дозволяє демонструвати навчальний матеріал у формі цікавої історії.

Загалом, поняття «сторітеллінг» в освіті (від аналогового перекладу «story» – розповідь, та «telling» – розповідати) розглядається як вміла та технічна передача викладачем необхідної навчальної інформації аудиторії у формі захопливої ​​історії з метою вирішення складних проблем, концентрації уваги, активізації критичного мислення та емоційного інтелекту студентів, мотивації їх до подальших досліджень. Сторітеллінг – це словесний метод навчання, але його можна доповнити підібраними візуальними матеріалами.
