Політика Японії в регіоні Західні Балкани наприкінці ХХ – на початку ХХІ століття

Abstract

Метою статті є дослідження особливостей політики Японії в регіоні Західні Балкани. У зв’язку з особливістю ведення зовнішньої політики, країна активно залучає інструменти «м’якої сили». Японія протягом всього післявоєнного період прагнула змінити свій імідж на позитивний й, разом з тим, поширювати свій вплив в різних регіонах світу. В регіоні Західні Балкани країна почала поширювати свій вплив через миротворчі ініціативи, гуманітарну й фінансову підтримку та, звісно, культуру. Дослідження розпочинається з періоду дезінтеграції Югославії, яка супроводжувалась рядом конфліктів та завершується сучасним етапом розвитку відносин. Японія є однією з домінуючих економічних центрів в Азії, що сприяє її іміджу як вагомого гравця на міжнародній арені. Країна базує свій вплив передусім на економічній успішності. The aim of the article is to study the specifics of Japan’s policy in the Western Balkans region. Due to the peculiarities of conducting foreign policy, the country actively involves the instruments of “soft power”. Throughout the post-war period, Japan sought to change its image to a positive one and, at the same time, to spread its influence in different regions of the world. In the Western Balkans region, the country began to spread its influence through peacekeeping initiatives, humanitarian and financial support and, of course, culture. The study begins with the period of disintegration of Yugoslavia, which was accompanied by a number of conflicts, and ends with the modern stage of development of relations. Japan is one of the dominant economic centers in Asia, which contributes to its image as a significant player in the international arena. The country bases its influence primarily on economic success.
