Виклики та можливості інноваційного навчання англійської мови в системі неперервного навчання

Abstract

Стаття присвячена аналізу викликів і можливостей інноваційного навчання англійської мови в системі неперервної освіти дорослих. Розглянуто специфічні характеристики й потреби дорослих учнів, які суттєво відрізняють їх від школярів і студентів. Підкреслюється, що навчання дорослих ґрунтується на свідомому виборі та внутрішній мотивації, зумовленій професійними, соціальними й особистісними потребами. Важливу роль відіграє інтеграція попереднього життєвого й професійного досвіду в процес засвоєння нових знань, що посилює практичну цінність навчання й робить його невід’ємним складником системи неперервної освіти. Окреслено ключові проблеми викладання англійської мови дорослим у межах неперервної освіти. Серед основних бар’єрів визначено психологічні труднощі, що знижують упевненість у мовленнєвій діяльності, обмеженість часу та ресурсів через професійні й сімейні зобов’язання, а також різнорівневу підготовку слухачів. Зазначено, що традиційні навчальні матеріали часто не відповідають очікуванням дорослих, які прагнуть отримати практичні знання й навички, застосовні в професійній і повсякденній діяльності. The article’s primary focus is the examination of the challenges and opportunities associated with innovative English language education within the framework of continuing education for adults. The distinctive characteristics and needs of adult learners, which significantly distinguish them from schoolchildren and students, are considered. It is emphasized that adult learning is based on conscious choice and internal motivation determined by professional, social, and personal needs. The integration of experiential learning into the acquisition of new knowledge is a critical component of the educational process, enhancing its practical value and ensuring its integration into the continuing education system. Additionally, the article delineates salient issues in English language instruction for adults within the paradigm of continuing education. The predominant barriers identified encompass psychological challenges that diminish confidence in verbal communication, constrained time and resources due to professional and familial obligations, and the varying degrees of learner preparation. It may be posited that conventional teaching materials frequently fall short of the expectations of adults who seek to acquire practical knowledge and skills applicable in professional and everyday activities.
