Abstract

Друга половина XVI ст. в житті українського народу позначилася національно-духовним піднесенням, певною мірою під впливом ідеї гуманізму та Реформації, які проникали в Україну. Головний напрямок розвитку гуманісти вбачали в особистій свободі й освіченості людини, справедливому устрою суспільства. Саме в цей час пробуджується інтерес до рідної мови, історії, культури, з’являється гостра потреба в освіті та наукових знаннях. Значний внесок у розвиток освітньої справи зробила острозька школа (академія). Дана публікація присвячена цьому закладу освіти як такому, що започаткував вищу освіту в Україні. Second half of the XVI century. in the life of the Ukrainian people was marked by a national-spiritual uplift, to a certain extent influenced by the idea of humanism and the Reformation, which penetrated into Ukraine. The main direction of the development of humanists was seen in the personal freedom and education of man, a fair system of society. It is at this time an interest in the native language, history, culture, an urgent need for education and scientific knowledge is awakened. Significant contribution to the development of educational affairs was made by the Ostrog school (academy). This publication is dedicated to this institution of education as one that has initiated higher education in Ukraine.
