Abstract

Мета статті полягає в дослідженні оборони Дунаю як складової частини оборони Бессарабії на початок Другої світової війни. Страшна катастрофа, яка охопила нашу країну в 1941 році, досі зберігає безліч питань про її причини і винуватців. Операції Дунайської флотилії стали найбільш успішними діями радянських військ в початковий період війни. В той час, коли на протязі всього величезного фронту відбувалися безперервні катастрофи різного масштабу, приморська ділянка Південного фронту виявилася єдиним місцем, де противник протягом майже місяця так й не перетнув державний кордон. The purpose of the paper is to study the defense of the Danube as part of the defense of Bessarabia in the beginning of the Second World War. The terrible catastrophe that swept our country in 1941 still poses many questions about its causes and perpetrators. Operation of the Danube Flotilla became the most successful actions of the Soviet troops during the initial period of the war. At a time when there were continuous disasters of various proportions throughout the huge front, the coastal area of the Southern Front was the only place where the enemy for almost a month never crossed the state border.
