Історіософський дискурс феномену українського козацтва: від міфу до реальності

Abstract

Феномен українського козацтва є ключовим елементом національної історії та формування української ідентичності. Проте його історіософське осмислення часто коливається між міфологізацією та науковим прагненням до об’єктивного відтворення історичних подій. Недостатнє розуміння генези уявлень про козацтво, особливостей його міфологізації та інтерпретації в різні історичні періоди, ускладнює формування цілісного національного світогляду. Відтак, комплексний аналіз еволюції дискурсу навколо козацтва є нагальною потребою для сучасної гуманітаристики. Actuality of the Problem. The phenomenon of the Ukrainian Cossacks is a key element of national history and the formation of Ukrainian identity. However, its historiosophical understanding often oscillates between mythologization and the scholarly aspiration for an objective reproduction of historical events. An insufficient understanding of the genesis of perceptions about the Cossacks, the specifics of their mythologization, and interpretation in different historical periods complicates the formation of a holistic national worldview. Consequently, a comprehensive analysis of the discourse evolution surrounding the Cossacks is an urgent need for contemporary humanities. The Aim of the Research. The aim of the article is to study the genesis of perceptions about the Ukrainian Cossacks in historiography and culture, to identify the specifics of their mythologization and interpretation in different historical epochs. The main focus is on the correlation between historical facts and mythological constructs, their influence on public opinion and national consciousness. Additionally, the processes of demythologization and reinterpretation of the Cossacks in the 20th– 21st centuries are considered.
