Деякі роздуми щодо преісторичних жител землянкового типу

Abstract

Переважаюче на поселеннях білозерської культури будівництво напівземлянок та землянок без застосування каменю при характерному для попередньої сабатинівської культури кам’яному домобудівництві, багаторазовому зменшенні кількості поселень у білозерський період та майже повному зникненні останніх в степах у пізніший час в літературі зазвичай пояснювалося головним чином поступовим переходом населення від осілості до кочового скотарства і лише іноді пов’язувалося також з етнокультурними традиціями. Але житла землянкового типу інших археологічних культур зазвичай не пов’язуються з рухомим скотарством. Є підстави вважати певні житла землянкового типу білозерської та інших культур довгочасними. Тут обґрунтовується думка про необхідність шукати пояснення будівництва без застосування каменю землянкових жител білозерської та багатьох інших культур головним чином в області етнокультурних традицій. The practice of building stoneless pithouses and sodhouses that prevails in the settlements of the Bilozersk culture, taking into account stone house building practice that is characteristic for the preceding Sabatynivka culture, manyfold decreasing numbers of the settlements in the Bilozersk period and their almost complete disappearance in the steppes in the later period, was usually explained in literature mainly by transition of the population from the settledness to the nomad animal husbandry and only sometimes was also associated with the ethno-cultural traditions. But the pithouse type dwellings of other archaeological cultures aren’t usually associated with mobile animal husbandry. There are reasons to consider the particular pithouse type dwellings of the Bilozersk and other cultures to be lasting. Here it is justified that one should look for the explanations of stoneless pithouse type dwellings building practice of the Bilozersk and many other cultures mainly in the area of ethno-cultural traditions.
