In such conditions, the very specificity of the coach's work requires him to have appropriate pedagogical and psychological knowledge and skills, conviction and personal focus on these sections of his work. Among the various aspects of the psychological- pedagogical work of a sports coach with athletes of any age and qualification categories, the education of character in his pupils, in the most general human and philosophical sense of this category, is of particular importance. Education of an athlete's character becomes the most important problem of all his successful professional activities, both in sports and, probably, in his whole life. One of the most important tasks in the field of sports pedagogy and psychology in a number of scientific and philosophical works is considered the problems of the formation of the character of a person in general and of an athlete, in particular, in the solution of which a significant emphasis is placed on the role of a mentor, a coach in its formation. At the same time, summing up the factual basis and substantiating their methodological developments, in this regard, the authors often use interviews with famous people, as well as with famous athletes. To carry out practical activities, it is necessary to take into account a number of factors, such as the role of the coach and teacher of physical education in moral development, the meaning of victory in sports activities, teaching moral behavior outside the sports arenas and sports matches, the use of logical justification of the correctness and incorrectness of individual actions of an athlete. Складність тренерської роботи (особливо в командних видах спорту) полягає ще й у тому, що об'єктом діяльності тренера є і окрема, індивідуально своєрідна особис- тість гравця та команда в цілому, в якій мають бути інтегровані та максимально ефективно використані особливості та переваги гравців, гранично сконцентрова- них на досягненні командної мети. У таких умовах сама специфіка роботи тренера вимагає від нього відповідних педагогічних та психологічних знань та навичок, переко- наності та особистісної спрямованості на ці розділи його роботи. Серед різних аспектів психолого-педагогіч- ної роботи спортивного тренера з будь- якими віковими та кваліфікаційними кате- горіями спортсменів особливе значення має виховання у своїх вихованців характеру, в найзагальнішому людському і філософ- ському сенсі цієї категорії. Виховання характеру спортсмена стає найважливішою проблемою всієї його успіш- ної професійної діяльності як у спорті, так, напевно, і всього його життя. Однією з найважливіших завдань у сфері спортивної педагогіки та психології у низці наукових і філософських робіт розгляда- ються проблеми формування характеру людини взагалі та спортсмена, зокрема, у вирішенні яких значний наголос робиться саме на роль наставника, тренера у її фор- муванні. При цьому, підводячи фактологічну базу та обґрунтовуючи свої методичні роз- робки, у цьому плані автори часто викорис- товують інтерв'ю з відомими людьми, а також із відомими спортсменами. Для здійснення практичної діяльності необ- хідно враховувати цілу низку факторів, таких як роль тренера та викладача фізич- ного виховання у моральному розвитку, зна- чення перемоги у спортивній діяльності, навчання моральної поведінки за межами спортивних арен та спортивних поєдинків, використання логічного обґрунтування пра- вильності та неправильності окремих дій спортсмена.
