Abstract

The value of metaverse teaching and learning is being recognized in the expectation that education through metaverse will increase the possibilities of learners. What raises these expectations is not simply because the metaverse enables the educational introduction of virtual reality, but the belief that virtual reality introduced through the metaverse is connected with reality, and that reality will be more beneficial through this connection. because there is Therefore, in this study, the concept of ‘meta’ is not simply viewed as ‘virtual’, but rather as an extension of reality, and the possibilities and educational effectiveness of using the metaverse for Korean language education in each of the four areas are evaluated. After discussing the teaching-learning methods to improve, the values and meanings of holistic education were examined by synthesizing them. This study discussed the point that the current metaverse-using education al discourse, which is mainly about teaching and learning design in terms of educational engineering, led to the level of teaching-learning methodology, and the realization of holistic education through the effective use of the metaverse. In that sense, it is meaningful in terms of holistic fusion education.
