The experience of participation in the international event "Visiting Program for Young Sinologists" as an intercultural communication format between scholars from China and Ukraine

Abstract

Being a representative of Odessa National Maritime University (ONMU), which has relations of partnership with Ushynsky National Pedagogical University, as well as with Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), I would like to share some experience of my communication with colleagues from People's Republic of China. In July 2018 I was a participant of "The Visiting Program for Young Sinologists" (VPYS) in Beijing. The organization of that Program and its content was made at the highest level. The Visiting Program was designed so successfully, that in a rather short period of time (about three weeks) all the participants were shown different life aspects of the modern Chinese society, especially the rich cultural heritage of China, as well as some latest technological achievements of the Chinese people. Among them – the world's largest radio-telescope named FAST (Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope. Будучи представником Одеського національного морського університету (ОНМУ), який має партнерські відносини з університетом імені Ушинського, а також з Китайською академією суспільних наук (CASS), у статті автор поділився досвідом свого спілкування з колегами з Народної Республіки Китай. У липні 2018 р. автор статі був учасником «Виїзної програми для молодих Синологів» у Пекіні. Організація цієї Програми та її зміст був виконано на найвищому рівні. Сама програма включала широкий спектр заходів. Програма була розроблена настільки вдало, що досить короткий за період часу всім учасникам було показані різні аспекти сучасного китайського суспільства, особливо увага приділена культурній спадщині Китаю, а також представлені деякі останні технологічні досягнення китайського народу.
