Розвиток числової лінії в курсі математики закладів загальної середньої освіти

Abstract

Числова лінія є однією з важливих змістових ліній у курсі математики ЗСО, її розвиток починається у 1 класі початкової школи і продовжується в курсі математики базової та старшої школи. Знання учнів про числа та уміння ними оперувати складає підґрунтя до формування математичної компетентності здобувачів загальної середньої освіти. У статті зроблено стислий огляд розвитку числової лінії у початковому курсі математики та у курсі математики базової середньої школи на основі теоретичного аналізу наукових джерел, чинних навчальних програм з математики початкової та базової середньої шкіл, підручників з математики (алгебри) для 1-8 класів. Отриману інформацію узагальнено для визначення рівня обґрунтування розширення поняття числа у підручниках. Досліджено особливості опрацювання числової лінії в початковій та базовій середній школі у зв’язку з оновленим нормативним забезпеченням математичної освіти. The number line is one of the important content lines in the course of mathematics of general secondary education, its development begins in the first grade of elementary school and continues throughout the course of mathematics in basic and secondary school. Students' knowledge of numbers and their ability to operate is the basis for the mathematical competence of general secondary education students. The article provides a brief overview of the development of numerical lines in elementary mathematics and secondary school mathematics based on the theoretical analysis of scientific sources, current curricula for mathematics of elementary and secondary schools, mathematics textbooks for grades 5-8. The information obtained is generalized to determine the justification for expanding the notion of numbers in textbooks. The peculiarities of numerical processing in a primary and secondary schools in connection with the updated normative provision of mathematical education are investigated. It is noted that the development of the content line "Numbers" in the course of mathematics occurs in the following sequence: positive integers, integral fractional numbers, integers, rational numbers, real numbers, which is different from the path of classical expansion of numerical sets: natural numbers, integers, rational numbers, real numbers. It is found that in the textbooks the methods of entering the natural, integer and rational numbers coincide, the method of entering the irrational and real numbers is different. The introduction of new number sets in the high school mathematics course is based on the notion of an extension of algebraic systems. According to the authors, the current high school math curriculum has some drawbacks, some adjustments are needed to represent the content line "Numbers" in the math program: unload the numeric line in 6th grade, and pay more attention to the properties of the irrational and real numbers in 8th grade.
