Cross-Cultural Typology of Set Phrases and Formulaic Expressions in Literary Translation and Folklore Text

Title: Cross-Cultural Typology of Set Phrases and Formulaic Expressions in Literary Translation and Folklore Text
Authors: Tyshchenko, O. V.
Abstract: Despite significant achievements
in the field of structural folkloristics, the accumulated
wealth of empirical lexicographical experience, and
the study of paroemic corpora, the linguistic status
of paroemias and their place in the figurative system
of a given language remain a matter of debate.

Intercultural Communication and Specifics of Conveying Universal Cultural Concepts in Translation from English into Slavic and Eastern Languages

Title: Intercultural Communication and Specifics of Conveying Universal Cultural Concepts in Translation from English into Slavic and Eastern Languages
Authors: Korolyova, Natalia Livievna
Abstract: This section of the monograph offers
a comprehensive philological study of the linguistic
representation, semantic structure, and translation
features of the core axiological concepts “FAITH”
and “HOPE” within four distinct linguacultures:
English, Chinese, Polish, and Serbian. The relevance
of the research stems from the urgent need for
a profound theoretical comprehension of mental
universals and nation-specific cognitive codes amidst
intensifying intercultural dialogue and 21st-century
global civilizational transformations.

Information Typology in Specialized Translation

Title: Information Typology in Specialized Translation
Authors: Дерік, Ілона Морисівна; Derik, Ilona Morisivna
Abstract: The article deals with the issues
related to information typology in specialized
translation within Germanic and Oriental languages.
The objective of the research is to analyse typological
aspects of conveying different types of information
in specialized translation from English, German and
Chinese into Ukrainian. The following tasks were
solved to achieve the stated purpose:1) to examine the
key concepts constituting the content of information
distributed in different typological varieties
of specialized translation (scientific and technical
proper, medical, legal and military translation;
2) to dwell upon the typological and contrastive
aspects of translation classification; 3) to specify
the potential challenges of specialized translation
and ways to overcome them. The conducted research
allowed the authors to arrive at certain conclusions.

Typology in Semantics (Languages of different structure)

Title: Typology in Semantics (Languages of different structure)
Authors: Іліаді, Олександр Іванович; Iliadi, Alexander
Abstract: The investigation examines some
issues of the modern typological and general
linguistics. In particular, it is about the long-mooted
problem of the universality of the semantic changes
(semantic dynamics), focused on finding the system
of proofs of the existence of such types of lexical
semantics development, which are peculiar to the
languages of many and, ideally, all of the famous
genetic families. The elaboration of the issue
in question is very important not only for the further
development of the theory of typological linguistics
and general, (comparative-)historical semasiology,
but also for the development of the ideas of such
a direction of science as the linguistic picture
of the world and equally for the practice in the field
of translation.
