О. І. Георгієвський та дослідження питань історичного розвитку Галлії

Abstract

Аналізуються історичні погляди О. І. Георгієвського – викладача Рішельєвського ліцею, науковця, публіциста та реформатора системи освіти 60–80 рр. ХІХ ст. у Російській імперії. Розглядається його внесок у дослідження галльської цивілізації в епоху завоювання цих територій Римом. Метою статті є – з’ясування історичних поглядів О. І. Георгієвського на проблеми розвитку Галії, які були викладені у його роботі “Галли у епоху Кайя Юлія Цезаря”. З’ясовано, що у головній історичній праці О. І. Георгієвського під назвою “Галли у епоху Кайя Юлія Цезаря” відбились погляди автора щодо широкого кола проблем соціально-економічного, політичного і культурного розвитку гальського суспільства. Автор представив комплексну картину розвитку Галлії. Незважаючи на той факт, що деякі твердження цієї роботи не витримали випробування часом, основні її положення залишаються актуальними і сьогодні. Analyzed historical views of O. I. Georgievskiy, who was a teacher of Richelieu Lyceum, scientist, writer, and reformer of the education system 60–80s of the XIX century in the Russian Empire. Discusses his contribution to the study of Gallic civilization in the era of the conquest of these territories by Rome. The aim of the article is to clarify the historical perspectives of O. I. Georgievskiy on problems of development of Gaul, which were described in his work “the Gauls in the era Gaius Julius Caesar”. It is found that in the main historical work of O. I. Georgievskiy called “Galls in the era Gaius Julius Caesar” reflected the author’s views on a wide range of socio–economic, political and cultural development Gallic society. The author has deeply analyzed the written historical sources, provided a complete characterization of the research that existed at that time, presented a comprehensive picture of the development of Gaul. Despite the fact that some claims of this work has not stood the test of time, its main provisions remain relevant today.
