Abstract: The urgent problem of modern cultural linguistics is the methodology of analysis of various concepts dealing with different world outlooks, in particular with the concept of «love» in the Russian and Turkish languages. Studying of this concept’s lexical and semantic peculiarities in I. A. Bunin and Y. K. Beyatli’s works contributes to the solution of this problem. The keywords that represent the given concept in both languages have been determined. The representa- tive lexemes have been pointed out. The basic representative lexemes of this concept in the Russian language are “pas- sion”, “soul” and “torment”, while in the Turkish language they are “aşk” (love→ eros), “sevda” (love → often means unrequited love), “sevgi” (love→ sympathy),”ruh” (soul), “gönül” (heart/soul) and “kalp” (heart → in physiological sense). A special attention has been given to lexical collocability of the key words. Methods of associative and receptive experiment have been used to analyze the concept of love. Synonyms and antonyms of the mentioned concept have also been examined. The basic synonyms of “love” in the Russian worldview are passion, sensuality, jealousy and obses- sion. In the Turkish worldview a synonymic series of this concept is presented by absolutely different lexemes: zevk (pleasure), haz (enjoyment), lezzet (taste) and saadet (bliss). Among the derivatives of "love" the main ones were the following: to love, loving, favorite, dearest. In the Russian language there have been identified such antonyms of the concept as hatred, alienation and indifference, while in Turkish – there have been found only one basic antonym – kayıtsızlık (indifference). As the result of our research tendencies of the concept of love in the Russian and Turkish worldviews have been presented in the article. А. Бунина и Я. К. Беятлы.
