Психологічна характеристика толерантної та інтолерантної особистості

Abstract

У цій статті розкрито можливості вивчення складного феномену толерантності з позиції континуально- ієрархічної структури особистості та її властивостей (О. П. Саннікова). З позицій цього підходу можна розгляда- ти толерантність як таку, що містить три рівні: 1) формально-динамічний; 2) змістовно-особистісний; 3)

соціально-імперативний. На цьому етапі нашого дослідження вивчаються якісні характеристики толерантності, оскільки саме вони відображають її психологічну сутність. В якісній структурі толерантності були виділені і описані такі показники: емоційний, когнітивний, поведінковий. Це дослідження включало 204 особи − студентів

фізико-математичного, художньо-графічного факультетів та факультету фізичного виховання Південноукраїнсь- кого національного педагогічного університету імені К. Д. Ушинського; а також слухачів, які отримують післядип- ломну освіту за спеціальністю «Психологія» на базі цього університету. Психодіагностичний комплекс склали:

«Тест – опитувальник толерантності» (О. П. Саннікова, О. Г. Бабчук) та «16-факторний особистісний опиту- вальник» (Р. Кеттелл). У результаті кореляційного аналізу були виявлені багатозначні зв’язки між показниками

толерантності та факторами особистості. Для нашого дослідження важливою є інформація про співвідношення окремих показників толерантності з факторами особистості. Ці зв’язки відображають тенденції, але мають і певну специфіку. Наступним кроком здійснення якісного аналізу була побудова й інтерпретація психологічних

профілів. Слід зазначити, що наявність певних рис особистості, які «відповідають» проявом толерантності, на- приклад, добродушність, зосередженість на інших, терпимість до інших, здатність до емпатії, товариськість,

довіра, впевненість в собі, можуть бути пов’язаними з наявністю таких властивостей, як незахищеність, емоційна залежність від інших, надмірна чутливість, пристраст continual-hierarchical structure of personality and its properties (O.P. At this stage of our research we study the qualitative characteristics of tolerance since they reflect

its psychological nature. In the qualitative structure of tolerance were identified and described the following characteris- tics: emotional (emotions that characterize the adoption of another person), cognitive (ideas, thoughts, knowledge, re- lated to the adoption of another person), behavioral (external acting manifestations of tolerance towards others, readi- ness for interaction). This study involved 204 people – students from different faculties of South-Ukrainian National

Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinskyi and graduate students obtaining education at the Psychology De- partment. Psychodiagnostic complex included: «Test-questionnaire of tolerances» (O. P. Sannikova, O.G. Babchuk) and

«16-factor personality questionnaire» (R. Kettle). The results of the correlation analysis of qualitative indicators of to- lerance and individual factors are analyzed. It is the information about the relationship between certain indicators of

tolerance and the factors of personality that is important for our study. These relationships reflect trends, but also have specificity. Carried out by us previously, correlation analysis provided the basis for a qualitative analysis of the factor structure of personality of people with a common indicator of tolerance and intolerance with the general index. It should

be noted, that the presence of certain personality traits which “accompany” the manifestation of tolerance, such as good- naturedness, focus on others, tolerance of others, the ability for empathy, sociability, trust, openness, self-confidence,

may be associated with the presence and properties such as vulnerability, emotional dependence on others and expecta- tions of support, attention from them, excessive sensitivity, passion. Thus, the empirical study of personality factor

structure of respondents with different levels of tolerance demonstrated that the expression of this multi-property causes a complete picture of personality traits.
