Функційна епістема заголовчих комплексів у художньому мовленні Ольги Кобилянської

Abstract

Стаття продовжує цикл публікацій автора з дослідження особливостей функціонування онімів у художньому тексті. З’ясовано особливості функціонування, стилістичну роль і конотативне наповнення заголовчих комплексів у прозових творах О. Ю. Кобилянської. Доведено, що заголовки містять інформаційний смисл, оцінний компонент, що сприяють розкриттю теми, ідеї, художнього задуму авторки. Визначено роль заголовку як першого знаку художнього тексту. The article is discusses functional features, contextual and image-storyline conditionality of the headlines in the prose of an outstanding Western Ukrainian writer of the late 19th and early 20-th centuries O. J. Kobylianska. The specificity of the title determines its significance for the artistic context, since it becomes not only the first sign of the work, but also the first element of the onymic space. It is proved that the title contains information, an assessment component that contributes to the disclosure of the subject, the idea and the artistic design of the author. Due to its initial position, the title highlights the text’s beginning, creates a certain prospectus for the reader regarding the perspective of text further deployment. The name of the work, often the only one possible in terms of ideological and artistic concept, starts to "play" in the linguistic canvas, revealing the author's concept. It is proved that in O. J. Kobilyanska’s prose the titles have both bright explicit and implicit expression due to numerous distant repetitions, and are important part of the semantic and compositional structure of the artistic text; titular tokens highlight the most important aspects of the story, gradually attaining metaphoricality. The title of the work, according to the author of the article, contains the basic idea of the work in a concentrated form, evokes open and hidden associations, binds them into a single artistic context. Being a stylistic, evaluative and character-building category, the titles in the works of O. Kobylianska perform nominative, initial, prospective and distinctive functions.
