Сучасна українська проза як чинник виховання патріотизму й історичної пам'яті школярів (на матеріалі творів для 10-11 класів)

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано виховний та світоглядний потен- ціал сучасної української прози як важливого чинника формування патріо- тизму й історичної пам’яті учнів старшої школи. Актуальність дослідження зумовлена необхідністю переосмислення ролі художнього тексту в умовах війни, активних суспільних трансформацій та загострення проблеми збереження національної ідентичності українського суспільства. У цьому контексті сучасна українська література постає не лише як естетичне явище, а й як потужний засіб культурної комунікації, трансляції історичного досвіду та формування ціннісних орієнтирів молодого покоління. Це зумовило потребу в дослідженні сучасних прозових творів, зокрема, Сергія Жадана, Катерини Калитко, Марії Матіос і Василя Шкляра, які репре- зентують різні художні моделі осмислення історичної пам’яті, колективної й індивідуальної травми, досвіду війни, втрати та національного спротиву. The article analyses the educational and worldview potential of contemporary Ukrainian prose as an important factor in fostering patriotism and historical memory among senior school students. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to reconsider the role of literary texts in the context of the full-scale war, profound social transformations, and the growing challenge of preserving Ukrainian national identity. In this context, contemporary Ukrainian literature is viewed not only as an aesthetic phenomenon but also as a powerful means of cultural communication, transmission of historical experience, and formation of value orientations of the younger generation. The research focuses on the prose works of Serhiy Zhadan, Kateryna Kalytko, Mariia Matios, and Vasil Shkliar, which represent different artistic models of interpreting historical memory, collective and individual trauma, the experience of war, loss, and national resistance. It is demonstrated that in contemporary Ukrainian prose historical memory functions as a dynamic and open narrative closely connected with issues of moral choice, personal responsibility, intergenerational continuity, and the reinterpretation of the past in the coordinates of the present.
